EXPERIENCE
I have made beads for eight years, most of those years with full-time devotion. I have studied with great American glass masters such as Sage Holland, Tom Holland, and Al Janelle. I teach many various flameworking skills and encourage the learner to build a wide variety of techniques. These techniques will become your toolbox as you let your imagination create the designs that are within you just waiting to become reality.
Through learning this challenging medium you will gain confidence and realize that the "impossible" is possible.
I also teach individual classes in my studio Mondays - Fridays. 9 - 4
3 hour minimum @ 30.00 per hour
Classes are designed according to your skill level and your interests in learning techniques in beadmaking.
For example a beginner will learn about:
- winding molten glass onto a mandrel
- making a small round bead
Advanced skills to select (short list)
- making matching pairs of beads
- making a complex twisted cane
- making a flower button bead
- making a mask bead (scuptural techniques)
- adding surface decoration to a hollow bead
- making a encased flower bead
- maing a pendant or pendulum bead
